Sept 29th, 2011 Tom Carter, who has been leading groups through Nepal for 20 years, will be speaking on 'The Rhododendron Forests of Nepal: A Walk in Paradise'

Nov 17th, 2011 Alan Tracey, a retired chemistry professor who has acquired a penchant for botanical travel, will outline his trip this past spring to Eastern Turkey, an area rarely visited by western tourists.
Jan 19th, 2012 AGM and elections, a mini movie event, popcorn and soda provided by the VRS.  The 20 minute "Nepal, Our Ultimate Rhodo Flowering Experience", is narrated by Ian Clark from the Burnie, Tasmania rhododendron group. The other, "Oban, Scotland ARS 1996 Convention", narrated by Win Howe, is a tour through the plants, people and places seen at this event.
Feb 16th, 2012 David Sellars will be speaking on 'From Rhododendrons to Rock Gardening:  A Rewarding Journey'
March 15th, 2012 Gerry Gibbens, senior horticulturist at VanDusen Botanical Garden and the defacto curator of collections for the Sino-Himalayan garden plans a walk down memory lane of the last 32 years as a great way to tell the story of the Garden - past, present and future.
April 19th, 2012 Gordon McKay of Alba Plants in Cowichan Bay will be speaking on 'Companions for Rhododendrons'
May 17th, 2012 Walk in the Garden at 6:30 pm at VanDusen  Garden with Gerry Gibbens. 
June 3rd, 2012 Potluck Picnic in the Finley (Rhododendron) Forest
